If you are referring to a smaller converter holding less fluid causing an increase in temperature then yes, you could see the transmission fluid heat up quicker, opening the thermostatic valve allowing the transmission fluid to flow through your factory transmission cooler which works great on street cars and most race cars. Rarely is there ever a reason to upgrade your transmission cooler in the HEMI vehicles unless you are running an intercooler that blocks airflow over your transmission cooler, running turbo's or other components that will cause additional heat in the transmission or running auto-cross or road racing style events or mile-racing where you are under heavy throttle for long periods of time.
