The Redeye/SS is slightly beefier with additional cooling fins, hence the major price difference between the RedEye 3.09 and the standard 3.09. Typically the Redeye/SS rear is VIN locked by MOPAR as well making it extremely hard to get your hands on. We have run the standard 3.09 on Hellcats for years with a lot of success and when the standard 3.09 is not enough the recommended next step is into the Billet 3.09 which has been proven to hold up extremely well in our 1500 horsepower Hellcats at the track.
